My husband and I had a great time on the Nice Guy Lower East Side Tour last Saturday. Dante is a friendly, warm and funny guy. He was a fantastic guide, not only telling us about the food we tried but also about the history of the area. We were very lucky to meet some really nice people on our tour which was great - we chatted as we walked from bakery to deli, candy stop to pickle shop. My favorite tasting was the vanilla and chocolate treats at Dougnut Plant!

My family (wife, daughter, parents and siblings) went with Dante on the Lower East Side Food Tour. It was incredible. Great food. Fun to see the neighborhoods of the LES. Dante was fantastic. It is true that he is a very Nice Guy. I highly recommend this tour.

We do food tours in other cities so the benchmark is high. First my wife and I were the only ones on this specific tour on a weekday. Dante could have easily cancelled it and asked us to go another day but was committed to his clients. That shows integrity and good business sense, plus it gave us more chance to just have a regular conversation with him whereas in a big group it goes a bit slower. He was on time and outlined the tour at the beginning. At each stop he detailed why we were there, what the history of the store was, and how the neighborhood has or is changing from it's historical past. He definitely knew his stuff both food wise but also the neighborhood He has the inside track at each place so we weren't waiting long for food which sometimes makes tours drag a bit. I would definitely recommend this for anyone whether a local (I grew up in NY) or just a tourist.
