Dante made the Lower East Side seem like a small town... his friendly manner with visitors and engagement with the restaurant/shop staff members made us feel like locals being welcomed back home. Great food, fun & interesting tour, great tour guide! Be sure to arrive hungry... there is TONS of food on this tour! Thanks, Dante!

My daughter and I recently went on this tour with Dante as our guide. He is super friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed all of the stops, and the sampling of food was delicious! Can't wait to go back for another tour!

Adam was terrific, he was a delight! He will tell you a great deal of history of each one of the "food stops" we enjoyed. He also spoke about the neighborhoods and how & why they have changed. The choices of places to stop was quite varied, between pickles, bialys, delicious pastrami, donuts, knishes, etc.! The tour on a whole was very enjoyable! Our only suggestion would be to be able to sit down every once and awhile during the walking tour. We understand this might be very difficult to incorporate due to the small, family places that we did stop! At the conclusion of the tour we appreciated Adam staying with all of us until we found transportation back to Penn Station, even though his wife might call him at any moment to be taken to the hospital for the birth of their first child!
