What a great time! We love taking walking food tours to get a mix of local history and local culture (as expressed through food) when we travel. This was one of the best we've done. Dante (the owner) does a great job to guide you through the LES while taking you to EIGHT different restaurants to taste their signature dishes. These are not small samples but a small meal at each place - you will be full!! Meanwhile, Dante is engaging, fun and interesting as he gives the history of some well known (Katz, Russ & Daughters) and some less known (Vanessa Dumplings, Kossar's Bagels, The Pickle Guys) locations. For us, each stop was among the best food of that type that we've ever had. Most highly recommended. Fun for a family with teenagers. Come hungry!

Dante really is a nice guy. Plus, knowledgeable and lots of fun. From the melt-in-your-mouth pastrami at Katz’s to delicious halvah, we ate a pretty amazing variety of foods and learned a lot along the way.
