Whilst we had a great time, it is definitely suited to a daytime visit so you can get the views beyond the lights of Manhattan Island.

Totally worth the price of admission. From the elevator ride up to the elevator ride down, the whole experience was amazing. The 360 views are breathtaking. I went a few years back during the day time, but recently I returned at night. If you can go at night, DO SO! The lights and the buildings are magical at night.

The view is certainly impressive. However the crowds can make it difficult to get near the viewing windows. You have to wait your turn. We had priority elevator entry and that did seem to be beneficial. After arriving at the top a small audio visual is played and the view is then revealed. Once again impressive. This was good. What wasn’t good was what then followed. Everyone was then ushered into another room to receive an up sell for a portable tablet device to help explain the sights that you were looking at. This up sell process was painful to say the least and was in fact condescending. We had as part of our combined ticket the tablet device included so a better process of identifying those ticket holders needs to be implemented. That said the tablet device really wasn’t worth the effort and we simply left ours on a side counter after about 10 mins.
