It was nice not having to stand in line. Know that you have to spend your $15/ticket at one place. You can't get $7 worth of food and then try to buy a souvenir for $8. We went in time to see the sunset and then see the lights of the city come on.

I am torn on what to rate this experience (3 or 4 stars). It is definitely a tourist trap (I knew that going into it) but it's a very expensive tourist trap. Do you get to see a lot of NY? Yes. Do I need to see a lot of NY when I saw it from the airplane? That's debatable. I also didn't care for the heavy ipads, I would've rather had a map. And although tickets are supposedly timed for people who do general admission, it was awfully crowded at the top. Our tickets came with 2-$15 vouchers for the gift shop or restaurant. The restaurant had a long wait and we bought one thing at the gift shop but to spend the other voucher I had to find something at least $15 (I couldn't use it and just forfeit anything left over). This experience did not add anything to my NYC trip so that's mainly why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Less selling, less pomp, less bells and whistles, less fanfare, less hoakiness, less advertising, just focus on the basic view. ...and expensive: $6 for water, $40+ for entrey, ridiculous prices The video at the top is a waste of time.
