Even though I am conflicted about zoos in general, many of these animals have been mostly saved from another park or attraction where they were mistreated or being sent to slaughter. So, based on that fact, I'm glad they’re here, saving these gorgeous creatures and providing them with a really nice habitat to live, well cared for by the tremendous staff. You'll get up close to the lions (mostly female), a Bengal tiger, zebras, hyenas, water buffalo, and many more species of animals. You'll even have an opportunity to feed a giraffe, right from your open-air tour bus, and much much more. It was a really neat experience and the staff love answering questions. They also have three or four demonstrations/shows to take in while your here. If it is your birthday month, you’ll get a discount. Plenty of shade and concessions, BUT, there is walking involved, even though they go out of their way to provide shuttle service to and from the various areas of this very large park. Arrive early before it gets hot and the animals seek shade. Bring plenty of water for yourself.
