Having read the one- and two-star reviews, I am so sad that the park didn't meet those people's expectations. I didn't know what to expect, so came away after six hours in the park tired, educated, and content. We found the (mostly young) staff friendly, knowledgeable, and fun, especially the guide on the Safari tour, who was a delight. The staff clearly love the animals; an out-of-sorts lioness cub caused our guide on that tour considerable concern. As we left, he was calling in the news. (Hope she's feeling better.) Tips: Go in plenty of time to see what you'd like to see; take lots of water; keep a sharp lookout, as the animals' job is not to make it easy for you to spot them; allow for daytime drowsiness in the nocturnal animals; and consider going, as we did, in October -- lower temperatures and probably fewer people.
