Our bus driver, Avery, was very personable but appeared to be more interested in his acting career than in being a tour guide. He pointed out every dog we passed on the tour (very strange, indeed!) but often missed or talked about landmarks AFTER we had passed them. He also mentioned many times that he did not know about various historical sights or the railroads but talked about Ted Bundy and other famous serial killers from Seattle. We took the bridge over to Mercer Island but immediately did a u-turn and went right back so we never did see it! We finished the tour about 40 minutes early, something he seemed quite pleased about. He said it was because traffic was very light but we wondered if it was because of his fast driving and his failure to pause so we could take in the various sights. We really felt that the tour could have been a lot better.

Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for your review - we're sorry to hear the tour wasn't quite what you expected. As a note, Mercer Island is the turn-around point for guests to experience the floating bridge on tour. While that should have been explained on your tour, I wouldn't want you to think you missed anything as it's just a residential island. We did review Avery's driving and tour content after your review and we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. Best travels to you in the future!
