Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. You get 1.5 hours at the park, but don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes

Jayden, Courtney, and captain Ed did an amazing job at finding whales for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our trip. We got to see a young whale putting on a show for us! (Thanks to Jayden’s whale dance)

Our bus driver, Alexis, was very informative during the drive to the dock. Not only knowledgeable about Juneau, but had a great sense of humor with his jokes. Our boat captain Kara was great with picking out perfect areas with whales. Our naturalist, Jayden, was so informative, telling us all we needed to know about whales and that in Juneau they come to feed. We saw quite a few whales. This was a great tour. On the other hand, there wasn’t enough time to spend at the glacier.

Booked the tour through Alaska Shore Tours. Kat from AST was great. The crew - Captain David, John, and Josh were very knowledgeable and we got to see 2 sets of whales. The last one (mommy and calf) both breached the water and they are enormous creatures.
