Take a 20 minute flight west over the inside passage to Prince of Wales Island, one of the largest Islands in the United States, and visit an official, United States Forest Service maintained bear viewing platform. Get-up close, safe, and uncrowded views of bears as they hunt for Salmon along the Dog Salmon Creek.

Fantastic excursion to see the bears. It was the first trip of the year they'd run (the salmon have just arrived) but regardless we had an amazing time watching the bears fishing. Great views from the open platform and the guide was superb! A small group meant a great viewing experience. This was the highlight of an already fantastic 2-week trip.

Well organized. Flight was delayed because of weather. A+ for safety. Guide was knowledgeable, great experience.

Tour cancelled at the last minute apparently due to rain in the area - we were not informed and had to call (at £1.40 a minute) in panic, especially as our NCL ship had docked in a different port to where Seawind has advised us it would dock - we had to call them to say we would be a few minutes late but they said it was cancelled anyway. We saw other sea planes flying that morning and could not understand why we could not be offered an alternative such flying later, or to another area where bears were. We were refunded but that doesn’t make up for a trip we had been planning for 3 years being a 50th trip, and booked over a year in advance. It’s not as if we can get back to Alaska any time soon living in the UK. We have not been offered any good will gesture such as a future discount. We feel very let down by Seawind Aviation.

Ed, I'm very sorry you were disappointed and understand your feelings here. Sometimes the weather changes throughout the day, as it did that specific day. The pilots came back from trips and said it was getting windy along with wind gusts in this area, so we made the call to cancel right before the trip. We cancelled 2 flights going to Polk Inlet. Safety is our first priority! Also,there was not an alternate choice to offer unfortunately, but we are happy to offer a discount in the future. I know you came a long way and we appreciate you choosing to fly with us. We hope to be able to take you another time. Take care, Lesley
