Luis was a big disappointment and this was not an enjoyable experience. First, our flight arrival to Miami was delayed due to circumstances beyond our control and we were charged an extra $24 for being late on arrival? Luis assumed I spoke Spanish in his first text which I quickly requested English. Next, after picking us up, we tried to have polite conversation with him but he was totally silent the whole 45 minute drive to our hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach, very disturbing. I’m not sure it was just a language barrier or he was angry because we were late? Luis drove safe but we were also wondering why he didn’t have a Sun Pass on his vehicle because there was an accident on the 95 Freeway and would have been nice to be in the Sun Pass lane and arrived quicker. I thought because I booked this as a private departure transfer that it would have been nicer than calling Uber or like getting a limo, boy was I wrong! We are NOT going to book through Viator for private Airport transfers again. I paid the extra charge and gave Luis a tip, I know driving for a living is tough and even though this was a terrible experience, I still feel helping someone in that profession is a good thing to do even though the driver may been having a bad day or whatever.
