Went on this trip wanting to explore the mountains while also seeing some cool birds. Ryan was so knowledgeable about not just the birds we saw but all the nature surrounding us. We got extremely lucky and saw 2 white-tailed ptarmigan at the top of a 12 thousand foot mountain. Afterwards for the true CO experience, Ryan took us for beers at a local brewery.

Thanks for the excellent review, Scott! Those fully winter-plumaged white-tailed ptarmigan were quite the site! You'll have to come along this year on our Lek Leaper tour to find Colorado's remaining grouse species. All the best!

Great time! 5 stars! We saw some really great birds and went to a cool local brewery after to experience colorado
