We took the private carriage ride and it was absolutely perfect! Our guid was amazing, knowledgeable, and funny! Highly recommend!

My husband booked this as a special surprise celebrating our anniversary. Instead of a romantic evening, we had only a 30 minute ride (counting the loading onto the carriage and riding back into the carriage house.) The guide knew little, if anything and we only rode around a VERY small portion of Charleston. No rainbow road, no battery, no talking about the architecture, little if anything we were told more about the feeding habits of the horse!!. I would strongly urge anyone using this service to check what they actual tour entails, including route, length of time and what the price is. Paying the equivalent of 500 an hour for what we got as a "tour" strikes me as fraud, if not, at the least, unethical.

The private carriage ride is a great way to get acquainted with Charleston. The horses are cared for very well. Staff is friendly and were accommodating when I had to change my schedule.
