Visite privée à pied du centre-ville de Newport

Aperçu
This walk will acquaint you with the layout of Newport while telling the story of how it became what it is now. As a private tour, you can customize what you would like to see or not see, but generally we start along the harbor- Newport's reason for existence- and then make our way through town along some of the more off-the-beaten paths. You'll hear how Newport went from being one of the most thriving and active Colonial cities to the getaway for 19th century Industrialists to the beautiful spot it is today.

While the original design of this tour is not particularly wheelchair friendly, it can easily be adapted to suit your needs. Please let us know if you have mobility concerns when booking your tour.

We enjoyed a wonderful walk and introduction to downtown Newport with Erin. It was just the right amount of important historical facts & juicy storytelling to gain a nice understanding of the original settlement period and the financial wealth to follow. Erin is a consummate guide and narrator. Wish we could take her with on every trip!

This was an excellent walking tour of historic Newport with Jeff. It was organized starting with the map at the Museum of Newport History and additional stops at Trinity Church, Touro Synagogue, Redwood Library, Quaker House, White Horse Tavern and mor along Bellevue Avenue. Jeff explained the history at each stop with interesting anecdotes along the way. This walking tour is highly recommended.

I have done great self-guided tours, but nothing can replace a seasoned tour guide personally taking you around a city. Erin showed me the best of Newport. I especially loved Thames Street where she also recommended some great places to eat. Erin is very knowledgeable and is a lot of fun too. I highly recommend taking her tour!!!
