A minimum of 2 / Maximum 3 passengers per helicopter. Groups of 4+ taken in multiple helicopters. Depending on availability, may take off at the same time.
Due to comfort and weight balance of the aircraft, passengers weights limit must not exceed 275lbs per person; 620lbs total. If weight restrictions are exceeded, we will cancel the tour and no refund will be given
A minimum of 2 seats must be purchased even if only 1 passenger wishes to travel; this is a private tour, and passenger groups are not mixed
Minimum age is 7 years, required to sit by a closed door. Ages 12 years and older may sit next to an open door.
ALL tours are Doors-Off (Except for passengers 7-11 years old)
Passengers must provide their own means of transportation to our office for check in.
Check in is 40 minutes prior. Late check ins will be considered as a no show and subject to full price.

WOW !! Amazing !!! From our arrival where we were greeted by Natalie, we felt we were in safe hands. What was about to happen was fully explained and we watched a safety briefing which told us what to do and not do on board and what to expect. A short trip on a golf cart to the airfield followed where we met Hunter, our pilot. He was great from start to finish and we were soon on board and about to fly. From take off to landing , the doors off flight was one of the best experiences ever. An hour of stunning views and scenery. Hunter pointed out all the points of interest and answered all our questions. The weather was perfect with clear blue skies throughout. The hour passed so quickly and too soon we landed safely back at the airport. We can 100% recommend the experience and Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours Fantastic !

20/10 Experience -- and would definitely do again. Highly recommend the Private VIP tour for couples. Do the Doors Off option and enjoy some of the best views on the island. If you go during the afternoon -- the lighting is perfect. Don't stress about personal belongings -- they have lockers on site and give you a really secure phone holder that helps you take steady photos. You will not drop your phone. If you're afraid of heights -- it's not that bad! Just sit in the back and freak out in private like I did. You have an extra seat to the right of you where you can grab onto when you really panic. The fun factor vs. utter terror is about 100-1. So worth it. Don't wimp out. Gray was a phenomenal pilot. Easily made this a top-tier experience. Thanks for getting us so close to the best scenic views in Oahu! Pro Tip -- Take Dramamine and Zofran prior to your trip and eliminate the fear of motion sickness.

Really good tour. Reception facilities were very smart and well organised, pilot was a really nice guy, great tour all around the island, seeing some things you just could not see any other way. I was surprised how much of Peral Harbour we were able to fly over, this gave great views down into the water of the USS Utah and USS Arizona. Great experience, fully recommend.
