Escape the ordinary, just 8 miles from the French Quarter! Relax and leave your cares behind while you explore the lake side of New Orleans on a private 2 hour sail. Hop aboard a 47' luxury Beneteau sailboat called "Roux Stir", named for our love of a heartwarming New Orleans gumbo. Maximum 6 guests please.

Once onboard, all guests receive complimentary white wine, local craft beer, and light snacks. Listen to the boat glide through the water or enjoy your favorite tunes via Spotify.

Enjoy a 2 hour invigorating sail on the Southshore of historic & expansive Lake Pontchartrain, where you may spot a brown pelican flying overhead, and see the longest bridge in the world over water, the Causeway.

Captain Doug, a local New Orleanian with a passion for sailing, will ensure your safety. All proper safety equipment, life vests, and clean restrooms onboard.

Captain Doug is amazing. He is so accommodating, kind and FUN! This year had been the hardest year of our careers as teachers and this 2 hour tour literally melted all the stress and anxiety away (actually ran over 2 hours because we were having fun!). Cap’n Doug was super fun! He had tunes going the whole and we got to add in all the jams we wanted. It was so easy! He taught us about how the boat steers and about the sails. It was truly an incredible experience. He also shared a bit of history of the city, especially about Katrina! AND THEN THE FREAKING LAKE AND SUNSET ARE JUST THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN EARTH!! LOL we also made him take sooo many pictures LOL and he is such a fun sport. His excitement and love for what he does was infectious. Seriously the best trip ever! (FYI our pick up spot was at the blue crab restaurant! Very good eats. We got there at 4pm and then our boat tour began at 6:15)

Wow! I am sure our group of four would have regretted not doing this adventure. Capt. Doug was incredible and went out of his way to make our evening sail, one of our best nights in New Orleans. Do yourself a favor and book a sunset sail with Capt. Doug.

A tremendous and pleasent experience to sail with Captain Doug in Lake Pontchartirain during sunset. I will never forget!!!
