Overview

Escape the ordinary, just 8 miles from the French Quarter! Relax and leave your cares behind while you explore the lake side of New Orleans on a private 2 hour sail. Hop aboard a 47' luxury Beneteau sailboat called "Roux Stir", named for our love of a heartwarming New Orleans gumbo. Maximum 6 guests please.

Once onboard, all guests receive complimentary white wine, local craft beer, and light snacks. Listen to the boat glide through the water or enjoy your favorite tunes via Spotify.

Enjoy a 2 hour invigorating sail on the Southshore of historic & expansive Lake Pontchartrain, where you may spot a brown pelican flying overhead, and see the longest bridge in the world over water, the Causeway.

Captain Doug, a local New Orleanian with a passion for sailing, will ensure your safety. All proper safety equipment, life vests, and clean restrooms onboard. Search NewOrleansYacht to see more options.

This excursion is must do if you're visiting New Orleans. We managed to even recommend this sailing to some locals who hadn't known about it. Captain Doug is simply the best as a sailor, historian and host. I surprised my female companion with this sailingand racked up the points:-) This was an awesome experience and we'll definitely be repeat customers!
