This was the most wonderful way to allow our entire family (kids ages 8 and 10; 2 adults) to see and learn about the beauty and history of DC. I don't actually think that I can imagine a better way to do it - this was personalized to us, allowed for time in and out at the monuments/memorials we were most interested in seeing up close, did not require a ton of walking (=tired kids), does not harm the environment, and we learned SO MUCH in a really fun way from Barry, who is just simply a delightful human being and a great, energetic, engaging teacher (all while pulling us around! I could not recommend this more highly. This is a part of our trip that our entire family talks about as the highlight, and will be an important family memory and learning experience. Thank you Barry!!!

Wow, just wow! I can't imagine a better review. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review for me and my small tour company. I think I lucked out with your family by the way. There's a certain energy or orientation some families have where they are excited, interested, and curious about what they see. I am so glad I got you and your family that day because it made the tour amazing for me! Why can't tour companies review families on here? Because if we could, your fun family would get 5 stars!

This tour was really amazing. Our daughters 8+10 enjoyed it so much and really got into the historical facts that our tour guide presented. When we booked we thought it was.a little pricey, but I can tell you it is well worth it! Would do it again in a second. Definitely sign up if your considering it, you will not be disappointed. -Jeff

Thank you for the very kind words! Jeff, your family is fantastic, and the perfect example of the kind of family this tour is good for — where the family members are engaged, interested and curious. Again, thank you for the review, and thank you for choosing Adventure DC Tricycle Tours.

Through the Adventure DC Tricycle Tours website, we left our information and scheduled a private tricycle tour. The interesting and advantageous way this tour works is, you schedule it without paying anything, but within an hour or so, the owner of the company calls you to discuss your tour. This is a very friendly and personable way to do business, you might say it is excellent customer service! It is the personal touch that makes Adventure DC so great. We spoke with Barry about what kind of tour we were looking for, what we wanted to see, and how much time and money we wanted to spend. He designed a morning tour tailor-made for us. The day before, he called to make sure everything was still as he discussed. The day of, he was prepared with lots of energy, and lots of great information about everything we wanted to see. He left us time to get off and look around at certain monuments. He was also very engaging with our shy son, telling jokes and being so nice to him. He really went above-and-beyond for our tour. We learned so much and my husband got to ask all the questions he wanted. Really it's the best way to get around the National Mall: you are in a cozy tram attached to a bicycle. The National Mall is so spread-out and it would have deflated us from trying to see everything. With Barry's tour, we could relax, enjoy the ride, and learn a lot.

When traveling, I know it's difficult trying to find the best of what a city has to offer, especially Washington DC. I am glad you chose Adventure DC Tricycle Tours and I am elated we met your expectations. I am pretty sure I know which family you were, and even if my jokes didn't hit perfectly with your son (ha ha) I am glad I got to do "air high fives" a couple of times. I definitely thought that was a win. I know he had his own kid interests which were different from the parents. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. That was very kind and I appreciate it.
