My 11 year old daughter and I hired Adam to show us Yellowstone. She has a passion for wolves, bears, raptors, and really all wildlife. Adam was able to deliver all of those and more.
I have done a lot of guide trips and have found there are three things that a guide must exhibit for it to be a great day: (1) Hard work, (2) reads his audience, (3) knowledge. Adam fit the bill on all three. I especially appreciated that he could bring the park to life for both of us. He could speak to/teach my daughter in a voice and depth she liked. She said, "I really enjoyed just being in the van and learning from Adam." His knowledge was passed to her and she showed that to the rest of the family upon our return.
Our first day was the geothermal features of Yellowstone and our second was the Lamar Valley. Adam encouraged us to get an early start (7am day one, 6am day two). I am glad he did. Wildlife loves daybreak and we were able to see tons of it on both days because he gave us that nudge. My encouragement for others is to follow his lead. He is well connected into the guide and serious amateur network and is in the know of what is going on throughout the park.
We had a great time and I would hire Adam and Ties to Nature again for our next Yellowstone adventure.
