Without the need to steer, you’re unbound, able to look around at the wonder of this untouched stretch of the natural world, spotting blue herons, osprey, an occasional lounging turtle, perhaps a playful river otter, a deer munching on the foliage, and during peak berry season maybe even a bear.

I let my grandson drive. It was so fun trying to figure out how to work the bike and then once it got figured we had a blast. I enjoyed the short walk on the path also.

LOVED the rail bikes on the Skunk line. Only thing better would have been a longer trip. The later part of the trip into the redwoods is nothing short of magical. Can't wait to return for the moonlight version.

Very fun and unique. Definitely don't need muscle. Our guides, Jordan, Bruce and Ezra were great. Fun, informative and welcoming. Loved the ride - we did the Saturday moonlight ride and staying in the forest on their outdoor decks during the ride was a treat. Not to mention the fire pits and smores! Only negative was that the ride itself is too short.
