Pedaling along our historic tracks, bathed in dappled sunlight and a light breeze, you’ll experience a new freedom on the rails, unlike anything else. Without the need to steer, you’re unbound, able to look around at the wonder of this untouched stretch of the natural world, spotting blue herons, osprey, an occasional lounging turtle, perhaps a playful river otter, a deer munching on the foliage, and during peak berry season maybe even a bear.

The overall experience was majestic, being able to explore the redwoods was a lovely experience with my brother and i , we both enjoyed it immensely our guides Ashton and ezra were knowledgable and provided us with a fun experience. Ashton was thoroughly expressive of how to operate the bikes and also educating us upon the history of the skunk train and the redwoods. Overall I rate this experience a 5/5 because I can tell our guides made sure we enjoyed our adventure at the skunk train. I’m definitely recommending to my friends :)

The staff is absolutely wonderful! With a special shout out to Ezra and Diane! Such wonderful people! The railbikes is something every one should experience! It's exciting, relaxing and so much much fun!!

We had a fun time riding the rail bike out along Pudding creek. It was a fairly short ride - like 45 minutes out and back, but very enjoyable. Great scenery, and fun to spend some time hiking in the redwoods at the halfway-point stop. The Skunk Train follows the same route, and made a stop there while we were at the half-way point, so we got a chance to board the train and to get our pictures taken on the steps in the front of the locomotive. A nice little bonus. My wife was concerned that the pedaling would be too difficult for her, but the bikes had an electric assist (and the secret is you can not pedal at all and rely on the electric motors to get you there and back). The train museum and model train displays at the junction were a lot of fun too.
