Without the need to steer, you’re unbound, able to look around at the wonder of this untouched stretch of the natural world, spotting blue herons, osprey, an occasional lounging turtle, perhaps a playful river otter, a deer munching on the foliage, and during peak berry season maybe even a bear.

A great experience up and close to nature. You can take a short hike at the turnaround or bring a lunch and watch the train come in. Johnny and Ezra will take care of you. Friendly dudes.

So much fun!! The bikes themselves are just fun to ride. The path along the rail is beautiful and the little mile walk in the woods at the halfway point was stunning. The pavilion where you break for lunch is fantastic. The guides were also very clever and entertaining.

We had a great time, the scenery was great and the staff very friendly. We were kind of disappointed at the length of the tour about half of it was spent hiking versus the rail bikes; We understand there were some natural disasters that impacted of the trail. The skunk train followed us and had a bar and food car; it would’ve been lovely to have something to eat at the stop versus waiting for the other train and having to board it. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while and it was really lovely and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the outdoors with a little help from the throttle.
