I've joined Clay and Ground Up for three adult climbing weekends in Alabama Hills, and I can't rave about it enough! Clay is a kind, patient, and expert climbing guide, and it's been so much fun and immensely helpful for advancing my skills to have continued to climb with him. Even lead my first pitch a few weeks ago with the confidence of his instruction. Can't wait to join Ground Up again soon, and highly recommend to anyone who wants to get outside and hone those skills! The drive from LA is a breeze, and you can't get more beauty than climbing at the foot of the eastern Sierras!

Expert, friendly and cool guides Clay and Joshua too our crew on the best climbs of the year! The pitches were fun and very challenging, and beautiful too. Clay and Joshua are the best guides we've worked with in years, I'd highly recommend Ground Up Climbing Guides to anyone, any age and any ability level looking for thrilling climbs in the Mammoth, Bishop and Easter Sierra. Great people, who supported our climbers throughout the day's climbing adventures.

Ground Up Rock Climbing met our school group of 15 seniors in Alabama Hills. Clay and Joshua catered to the varying level of experience for each student. Every student was challenged at their ability level. Clay and Joshua were very professional, positive, and fun! We look forward to climbing with Ground Up again in the future.
