Clay took our family of four (me, husband, 10 and 12 yr olds) to a half day rock climb in the Lone Pine/Alabama Hills area. We were in Mammoth for skiing and decided to take this as a side trip on the way back home to the LA area. We had a wonderful time. This is the first rock climbing experience for my kids (though they've done canyoneering in the past). We went from being not very confident of our abilities to really learning some great skills and developing our mental and physical possibilities. Clay helped us believe in ourselves and pushed our limits in a very safe and skillful manner. This is a great family activity to help kids develop self confidence and growth mindset. It's a great side trip between Mammoth from SoCal.

I'm an occasional climber who got into it later in life, but hadn't climbed for 4 years. I was nervous about if I still had it in me to make a climb. Clay quickly assessed my skill level and got me up several climbs that pushed me but were doable. He coached me whenever I got stuck. This was the perfect climbing day.

The best outdoor climbing experience I've had to date. Clay was helpful, information, and made things fun! Took two other climbers who had never climbed before and were both able to safely make it to the top of multiple routes in hours. Next time I am up in Mammoth, will call Clay again. 110% recommend.
