We had a wonderful time on the Sunset Cruise. It was our second time sailing with 'Spirit' as we also had been on the afternoon Sail & Splash in April/2011. Both outings were fun, interesting and relaxing. We experience two different crews & both were excellent. They were friendly and very capable. The boat is clean,safe and comfortable. And the washroom facilities below deck are clean and easy to manage. There is a good sandwich/lunch shop beside the marina that we bought lunch from to bring aboard. Mention the cruise and they give a discount. Make this outing a priority on your next trip to Fort Lauderdale. It's a great way to see Fort Lauderdale from a different perspective.

We did the Sail and Splash with our 7 year old daughter. The ride out to the ocean was relaxing, just sailing in the ocean breeze. Then when we stopped the fun started. We jumped into the ocean with some trepidation, but it was fine. We had on our life jackets and there were ropes to help guide us back to the boat should we get too far. Also, the workers on the boat were conscious and aware if someone was getting too far from the boat. They were also helpful with the various activities such as the trampoline. Then on the way back we rested from our excitement and hoped to catch fish. We all had a blast.

Made advance reservations for the Sail and Splash trip as we were only in town for 2 days. The weather wasn't cooperating but we decided to show up for the sail - not knowing if the boat would go out. The captain and crew were at the dock evaluating the weather. After checking with the home office, they decided to sail if other passengers showed. Well, no one else show and the captain made the decision to honor our pre-paid reservation and took us for a 3 hour ‘private’ tour of the intercostal waterway – fantastic! They certainly didn’t have to do that and they probably lost money on the deal….but we were very satisfied customers. The captain and crew went out of their way to make our afternoon enjoyable, even though the weather didn’t cooperate.

We try very hard to get everyone out on the Spirit of Lauderdale. We're happy you enjoyed the private cruise!
