Two of us came on the Hornblower whale watching ship for the 9:30 morning tour on Sunday. We got in line a little bit early and got good seats towards the back on the top of the ship outside. It wasn't super crowded, and it looked like everyone had a seat where they wanted to sit and no one was standing up outside. The unfortunate thing was that we only saw the tail and spout one time of one whale at the very end of our tour, so he didn't have time to even watch him or follow him. He was kind of far away also. Captain Chad was nice and said everyone will get a whale check, which is like a rain check for another Cruise later in the future. It also applies to Harbor Cruises. We were just here for the weekend, so there's not really time to spend another three and a half hours on a whale watching trip, and we already had plans for the evening. But it was a nice gesture.
The crew was nice, and the boat was nice. The museum people were very informative and pleasant to listen to. It would have been really fun to see some whales, but that's how it goes.
