Aperçu
The 2nd Annual Art Crawl Trolley tour runs Jan 10, Feb 14, Mar 14, & Apr 11, 2025. Book your boarding time (every 15 min) on one of 3 trolleys that visit 6 art district locations on a 45-min tour route in downtown Sarasota. Arts districts include: Main St. N. Palm, S. Palm, Burns Ct., Towles Ct. & Limelight District. Visit 20+ galleries & studios. This tour includes hop-on/hop-off transportation to all art gallery hub stops.

$5 from each ticket will be donated to The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County.

No guide will offer any tour content but staff & volunteers will direct you to all galleries & tell you about each district. Three trolleys run in rotation every 15 min from 4 PM – 8 PM. If you are unable to catch one of the trolleys back before 7:45 PM, you are welcome to take an Uber or walk back to the Trolley Cottage.

Before you board, browse our Trolley Cottage Gift Shop & enjoy complimentary beer/wine. ALL guests must be 21+.

After living in Sarasota for 40 years, this tour showed us new galleries we had never seen, & introduced new people we had never met. Fun night with friends, & Jerry was a very knowledgeable guide!

We just did an art crawl tour with Jerry Chesley, a long-time Sarasota resident and accomplished watercolor artist. Knowledgable, and quite funny with tidbits and asides. He takes groups on tours to several selected galleries / art studios On this tour the places were very diverse, from an abstract studio/gallery in the Rosemary district to a contemporary gallery in the Hilllview and Osprey area, featuring glass, paintings, and mixed media. In each instance,, we heard from the gallery owner, toured on our own with wine and cheese, and asked questions of the featured artist when one was present. Jerry also had running commentary on Sarasota's public art, including insights on various murals and sculpture. As a Sarasota resident, his knowledge of the artists and the history of the pieces particularly interesting -- many details I'd never heard. A great 1 1/2 hour adventure, then off to dinner!
