I was on the morning tour with Jessica. It was myself and two other ladies, so we had a nice small group. Jessica was lovely and knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable and was full of stories about not only the most important gravesites and people buried there, but also about the symbolism represented throughout the cemetery and the history of the times. She was wonderful, and I could not have expected more from her. I did, however, not enjoy the tour as much as the Colonial Park tour because the cemetery itself was underwhelming. With few exceptions, the graves are considered private property and we had to view things from the path. The sheer size of it makes it difficult to feel like you've seen everything. As such, I felt like I could have called it quits after about 45 minutes. I just was not interested in the cemetery beyond that. Too modern. I would say maybe five or six graves were worth seeing and hearing about. At five minutes each and walking between, even an hour would be, to me, overdoing it. Again, this is not a reflection on Jessica at all. She went above and beyond to make it interesting and informative. I wish there was more to keep me interested beyond a handful of graves. Considering the effort needed to reach the site, I would opt for the Colonial Park tour instead if I had to do it again.
