Several restaurants included in this tour. Shrimp and grits, she crab soup, green tomato biscuits with pimento cheese, British sausage rolls, chicken empanadas and delicious Mojitos (optional for purchase) and finally a honey tasting to wrap up the day on a sweet note. Our guide Emmy was a very enthusiastic and shares lots of “fun facts” about Savannah and the food we enjoyed. We had great weather and enjoyed the day. Definitely worth doing this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food and history tour. Sally did a great job of sharing Savannah’s intriguing history and giving insight into each of the unique eateries we visited. There were a variety of Foods starting with the tantalizing hot fresh biscuits with fried green tomatoes with Pimento Cheese from Rise. At 22 Square we enjoyed a sampling of Shrimp and Grits. At Rhett’s it was the famous She Crab Soup, a Savannah favorite. It was a spicy sausage pie at The Crown Pie Society with a flaky crust. For a different twist we had tasty Empanada’s and Mojito’s at It’s Mint to Be Mojitos. We even visited a hidden speakeasy. We finished with honey samplings and treats at Savannah Bee. On this walking tour we learned a lot of history of Savannah, too.
