We wanted to get an overview of Savannah, and booked this combo tour. Picked up directly at our hotel and taken to the terminal to get the open air tour bus. Kathleen was our driver who is very passionate about the city, and did a wonderful job explaining things in a fun manner, which kept your interest. Beautiful homes and parks, along with some movie trivia. Forrest Gump filmed here, and we visited the site of where he sat on his bench. After 90 minutes she dropped us off for the paddleboat ride, and told us to use a little known elevator rather than taking wildly dangerous steps to get down to the river level. We had an hour before the boat departure, and enjoyed the sunshine on the top deck. Got lunch from the deck below, which was very good and reasonably priced. A ninety minute cruise followed, with narration for about 60 minutes. The tour and cruise gave us a great overview of Savannah, and we made notes on places we wanted to explore further on our own over the next two days.
