Having participated in other food tours in other cities, it is one of my favorite activities to do, especially when visiting a new city and one with such historical and cultural significance like Charleston. The 'Savor the Flavors' did not disappoint and Fran provided for us a very good time and taught us much of the significance of the foods we were trying as well as making restaurant and shopping recommendations for future stays. We tried Fried Green Tomatoes over grits, Collard Greens, She-Crab Soup and Jambalaya, BBQ Pork Sliders, Corn Bread, and Pralines. We visited three restaurants, a candy store and spice and tea store. Individual tickets were $65 a piece and while our son was 9 years old, he was still welcome despite the requirement he be 12 and up. The food he didn't like or was unwilling to try was not wasted. We enjoyed his seconds and even thirds. Receiving a bottle of water and a koozie was a nice touch. The tour lasted 2-1/2 hours and covered a couple block radius. It was well worth our time and money. Kudos to Fran for providing us with a good time.

My sisters and I did this tour and it was so great! Dani was our guide, and she made it so interesting because she is professional chef and gave us cooking tips on how to prepare the things we were eating at home. We also had some food allergies and the tour was very accommodating. I highly recommend this.

Four of us took the tour and had a nice time. We visited three restaurants, spice shop and a sweets shop. The restaurants served a variety of food and combined it was plenty to eat. Our guide was very knowledgeable in both food and the history of Charleston. Would highly recommend the tour.
