Great walk around Deep Ellum with Harley, learning history and eating way too much awesome food. My two young adult sons joined me on this tour, and really enjoyed it as well. We made five food stops, trying a little bit their most famous dish at each. Queso, tacos, chicken & pancakes, brisket and pie. The brisket was hands down our favorite - melt in your mouth good. The guys at Terry Black's BBQ were great, and gave us taste tests on a couple of things since it wasn't too busy. The smoked turkey was also out of this world. We also made a stop at Rudolph's Butcher Shop, a real throwback to an earlier era. Fun way to explore an up & coming area of the city, and eat great food. Don't miss it!

So much fun, even in the rain. Harley was an amazing tour guide. The history, the murals, the food was unbelievable... the entire experience was fantastic!! The queso at Pepe and Mitos was amazing ! The Brisket at Pecan Lodge was delicious! The hot chicken and pancake was scrumptious! The chili dog was YUMMY and the Pecan Pie was outstanding. Rudolph’s Meat Market was a treasure from the past. Deep Ellum is rich in culture, food, music and art. I highly recommend this tour ! Harley was an outstanding guide.

I have never really enjoyed meat, but after the first BBQ stop on this tour I understand why New York (my hometown) is not famous for BBQ and Dallas is. I mean wow. All the food was excellent at every stop, even the stuff I thought I wouldn't care for. I won't give away the secret stop, but it was totally unexpected (didn't think it was the kind of place to exist in Texas) and it was my favorite stop. Our guide, Harley, is a Dallas local who really knew his history and pointed out cool places that he recommended visiting after the tour. He was very friendly and totally willing to help with all my touristy questions, even for things completely irrelevant to the tour. My tip: don't schedule dinner after. You will be STUFFED by the end.
