À quoi s'attendre
1
Emerald Bay State Park
Emerald Bay the second most photographed place in the United States. This is a beautiful stop. In the winter time it can be closed due to avalanches. But most of the year, Around Tahoe Tours puts you right in the perfect spots at Emerald Bay. Take photographs, hear the stories and see the Bay. No parking and Walking, just enjoying Emerald Bay. We will see Inspiration Point, Eagle Falls, Fannett Island, and the Vikingsholm.
2
Meeks Bay Beach
This is seasonal stop. Open from May 15th through October 15th. This is a beautiful little white sand beach. Great swimming spot on Lake Tahoe and a wonderful little resort with cabins and houses for rent as well as RV camping and tent camping. There's a general store here and good bathrooms.
3
Homewood
Oscar award-winning film "The Godfather Part II" was filmed on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The mafia spent quite a bit of time in Lake Tahoe. The casinos in Reno and on the North Shore brought the mafia to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Anywhere there's money they would be there. Plus the lake is very deep. Ask Fredo
4
North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center
We park at the Tahoe City visitor Center and walk over to Fanny Bridge. Below the dam we can see some incredibly large and beautiful Rainbow and Brown Trout. This is where the Truckee River comes out of Lake Tahoe. The dam is only 6 ft tall and isn't there to hold water in but to help it get out.
5
Carnelian Bay
This is a wonderful stop at the famous Gar Wood's Restaurant and Bar. Have a wet woody and walk on the pier. Great photographs see how clear the water really is. In the summertime we could see that Woody's out on the lake. Gar Woods, Chris-Crafts, Rivas and Hackers. Beautiful old wood boats.
6
Sand Harbor
Around Tahoe Tours makes a stop at the most beautiful place in Lake Tahoe. Sand Harbor State Park Nevada. Home of massive big boulders surrounded by every color of blue. Seems tropical at certain times. Great place for swimming lots of history, and probably our best stop. Get out stretch your legs and take lots of photographs You won't want to leave.
7
Logan Shoals Vista Trail
Around Tahoe stops at Logan Shoals Vista Trail as this is the best place to see Cave Rock. Cave Rock is Lake Tahoe's most famous sacred site. Home to the spirits of the Paiute and Washoe Indians. Cave Rock is not a rock at all it's a volcanic stem left over from long ago.

Had an amazing time! Got lucky and we were the only 2 on the trip and he didn’t cancel and gave us a private tour. So would give 10 stars for that alone if I could. Chris had great stories and was a great tour guide! Got to eat at a local eatery and see so many beautiful places and learned so many cool stories along the way! Would definitely recommend to anyone in Tahoe who wants to go see the beautiful areas all around the lake!

That was a great day driving around the lake. Maybe one of the last beautiful days before this big onslaught of weather. Really nice to meet you guys. Thanks for the great review.

The Around Lake Tahoe Tours owner canceled our trip supposedly due to weather. It was the most GORGEOUS day in Lake Tahoe and we took a rental car around the entire Lake and had a great time. I really think they canceled it because they didn't have a full van, but I'm not sure. I would be careful booking with them, as they told us that at this time of year they do cancel many trips due to the weather.

Good morning KATHY, Why would you write a review like this? We didn't do anything wrong to you at all. When the temperatures get to a certain level, it produces black ice. In Emerald Bay. Black ice is very dangerous and people have been known to crash because of it. Our insurance company does not allow us to go on dangerous days. We have a policy that's very hard to get. Our procedures are to follow what the insurance company has told us to do. There had been precipitation the night before. I followed our procedure and canceled the tour for Saturday, November 16th.. We don't cancel all the time. I said that during the winter time it's more likely that things like this happen. We're a very small company. This review is very hurtful. This is a very personal and attack and nobody's being personal with you. You called and left me a message that said that we ruined your day. We ruined your vacation because we canceled the tour. We only do this for the safety of everybody. I'm very happy that you got to go around the lake on your own. You were totally refunded. Nobody hurt you. We did it for your safety. And stuck it to us on our reviews here on Viator which is totally uncool of you. Anybody could read the reviews below yours and see that we run an amazing tour. Had you gone on our tour, you would have left us a five-star review. So if you like leaving reviews like this then you're not the client that we're looking for. I hope you have a great day Chris
