À quoi s'attendre
1
Emerald Bay State Park
Emerald Bay the second most photographed place in the United States. This is a beautiful stop. In the winter time it can be closed due to avalanches. But most of the year, Around Tahoe Tours puts you right in the perfect spots at Emerald Bay. Take photographs, hear the stories and see the Bay. No parking and Walking, just enjoying Emerald Bay. We will see Inspiration Point, Eagle Falls, Fannett Island, and the Vikingsholm.
2
Meeks Bay Beach
This is seasonal stop. Open from May 15th through October 15th. This is a beautiful little white sand beach. Great swimming spot on Lake Tahoe and a wonderful little resort with cabins and houses for rent as well as RV camping and tent camping. There's a general store here and good bathrooms.
3
Homewood
Oscar award-winning film "The Godfather Part II" was filmed on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The mafia spent quite a bit of time in Lake Tahoe. The casinos in Reno and on the North Shore brought the mafia to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Anywhere there's money they would be there. Plus the lake is very deep. Ask Fredo
4
North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center
We park at the Tahoe City visitor Center and walk over to Fanny Bridge. Below the dam we can see some incredibly large and beautiful Rainbow and Brown Trout. This is where the Truckee River comes out of Lake Tahoe. The dam is only 6 ft tall and isn't there to hold water in but to help it get out.
5
Carnelian Bay
This is a wonderful stop at the famous Gar Wood's Restaurant and Bar. Have a wet woody and walk on the pier. Great photographs see how clear the water really is. In the summertime we could see that Woody's out on the lake. Gar Woods, Chris-Crafts, Rivas and Hackers. Beautiful old wood boats.
6
Sand Harbor
Around Tahoe Tours makes a stop at the most beautiful place in Lake Tahoe. Sand Harbor State Park Nevada. Home of massive big boulders surrounded by every color of blue. Seems tropical at certain times. Great place for swimming lots of history, and probably our best stop. Get out stretch your legs and take lots of photographs You won't want to leave.
7
Logan Shoals Vista Trail
Around Tahoe stops at Logan Shoals Vista Trail as this is the best place to see Cave Rock. Cave Rock is Lake Tahoe's most famous sacred site. Home to the spirits of the Paiute and Washoe Indians. Cave Rock is not a rock at all it's a volcanic stem left over from long ago.

Chris was an awesome tour guide! He knew all the best stops for photos (and he’s a photographer himself), and his brother made a CD which narrates part of the tour around the lake, that also includes original songs about the history of the lake! Chris added fascinating details and is very entertaining and personable! He had water and snacks, and was mindful of the need for bathroom breaks and helped us get in and out of the van at each stop, often dropping us off closest to a site and then parking to avoid a long trek for his passengers. We stopped at a fantastic lunch place called the Tahoe House, which had an extensive selection of sandwiches, baked goods, prepared foods, and gifts. For me as a gluten-free eater, this was heaven, as there were many options for me! We extended our stay to do this tour, which was based around a conference in Lake Tahoe, and realize that even if we had rented a car, we never would have seen all the beauty that we did without, Chris! The tour was the highlight of our visit!

This trip was excellent. Chris from Talbot Tours was a very good guide. As a long time resident, he had in depth knowledge of Lake Tahoe and all of the surrounding area. We got to visit all of the notable sites around the entire lake. It was great fun.

I am a local and Darrin shared a special place I will most certainly visit again….Taylor Creek. There is always something new to see and learn about! My friend from AZ was here to check Tahoe off of her bucket list. What a pleasure it was to ride along with Darrin and the other customers, spending the day hearing new stories and legends. I immediately downloaded and shared Darrin’s song “Legend of Big Water”, it brought me tears when he played it for us. If you love Tahoe, as I do, and are familiar with his references to the places that mean so much to us, you will LOVE this song!! He is very well versed in the history, along with the new facts and details about residents that are popping up all the time (like on bazilionare row)! I will definitely be sending my friends who visit from the Midwest on this interesting, entertaining and magical ride around the most amazing Lake anywhere!! Thanks for making my friend’s day very special!
