2
Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive
A mini-drive within the main drive, the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive was once nominated for the Most Beautiful Place in America series. 3
Point Betsie Lighthouse
The Point Betsie Lighthouse marks the southern entrance of the Manitou Passage, one of the Great Lakes' most treacherous stretches of water. It’s one of the most photographed lighthouses in Michigan and guided tours are available of the 19th century keeper’s residence and 34-step tower.
4
Traverse City
Traverse City has long been known as the “Cherry Capital of the World”. In July and August, the countryside surrounding Traverse City is filled with fruit stands and markets brimming with baskets of sweet, dark cherries. It was so helpful to have the description and background of the areas we were driving through. He also injected comedy in his dialogue along the way.

Just took half of the M22 Michigan tour. Gave up on it because of the music was too loud and the voice too low. Had to change the volume at each location. Very frustrating and amateur. Don’t sell it to anyone until you fix it.

Excellent resource. Seamless GPS-driven commentary. Fun side stories about the area. Points out sites and stops we would certainly have missed if we just followed a map. Quite cheap self-guided tour vs some exorbitant guided ones . Can’t wait to explore more on future road trips !
