An entertaining trip around some of the spooky haunts in Savannah's Historic District. Our guide was knowledgeable on the history of the area and provided some timely humor.

Excellent tour. Our guide, Prince, was amazing and very knowledgeable. Well worth the price. Your feet will be aching but it’s so amazing to see the houses and hear the history. Such tragic events and macabre feeling.

My mother and I took the walking ghost tour of Savannah; we were the only people on our tour (7 pm). Our guide was Lady Ravenwood. Our guide was prompt and very friendly. She seems very interested in the paranormal and was therefore pretty passionate about the tour. The tour was paced well (my mother is in her 70's and was able to do the tour without any problems). Lady R had interesting historical information at every stop, and she included personal photos to make the tour even more interesting. I'm not entirely sure I believe in ghosts, and this tour didn't convince me that they exist (maybe I'm a tough sell) but it was fun to hear a different perspective on landmarks in Savannah. During our tour, we were approached by a potentially violent panhandler asking for money. He was unstable and almost unintelligible (except for his parting words to us of "I'll kill someone!") Lady R was very calm and professional during the encounter and was able to quickly move the gentleman along; her flashlight apparently also doubles as a taser, though thankfully she did not need to use that function. It was a mildly stressful situation, and Lady R handled it very well! The only real negative of the evening was the walk back to our hotel (on Forsyth Park) after dark, and that has nothing whatsoever to do with the tour company. I include it here mostly as an FYI to other travelers. There is a not insignificant homeless population in Savannah, and they are readily found in the various squares and in the more touristy areas after dark. Not all mean you harm, but there is no way to judge benignity. The walk back to our hotel from where the tour ended was not a long one (0.3 mi, ~8 minutes), but we were followed for quite a distance by another man (he crossed the street to follow behind us in a fairly threatening manner). It was very disconcerting. Were I to visit Savannah again, I would NOT choose to walk by myself after dark (true in all circumstances, but especially if I were a solo female traveler). I'd do this tour again, but I would make sure I had transportation back to my hotel.
