We spent about two hours here. There is so much to see, to read, to learn. Very well designed, and there is something for everyone. Don't miss the moving word display in the back corner. So moving.

I looked forward to seeing this museum, but it exceeded my expectations. The combination of interactive and exhibits are perfectly balanced. Nothing seemed to be a "kids corner" but interesting for everyone. A true celebration of American Writers and writing. If you think the kids in there are loud, just remember, they are our next writers! I highly recommend spending some time here when you are in Chicago!

As a high school English teacher, I really wanted to love this museum. I say it's not exactly a museum because there isn't a collection of objects to see. Instead, they have exhibits that trace the history of American literature through various writers. So it's fun in the way that seeing somebody's list of their top 100 books is fun while comparing it with your own and seeing what's there and what is missing but that you believe SHOULD be there. Nice exhibit on Chicago writers. Overall I enjoyed it but felt it was a bit overpriced for what they have.
