We love hearing from other writers about the museum, and we're so glad that you took the time out of your short visit to come and see us. (We especially love our typewriters, too.) Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to review, and we hope to see you again the next time you're in Chicago!

We visited with our 13 year old granddaughter (at her suggestion) and all thoroughly enjoyed it! Lovely children's literature room, excellent and comprehensive history of many writers and fun interactive activities to do. Overall very impressive and well done. I own an independent bookstore in Minnesota and will be recommending it as a great place when anyone travels to Chicago!

We're so glad to hear that both you and your granddaughter had a good time at the AWM, and that we have fans in Minnesota. Thank you for taking the time to review, and hopefully we'll see you (and your recommendees) soon!

I took my girlfriend that is a writer and she absolutely loved it! I am not as into this stuff but I enjoyed everything about this museum when I walked in. There are so many interactive pieces and things to get anyone excited about writing. There were funny dialogue generators, a word game you could play with others, and even typewriters for people to write their own or continue another's story. Even if you don't think you're into writing, you've made the wrong choice if you skip this museum.

Thank you so much for your kind words--we think writing is for everyone, and we love hearing when both writers and non-writers enjoy themselves. Hopefully we'll see the both of you again soon!
