Excursion écologique en canoë-kayak et à pied dans les Everglades en petit groupe

Aperçu
We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour!
Park at our shop, a local historic building.
With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide, you will take a short golf cart ride to your boat.
On the boat, while searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna.
Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have.
After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then the golf cart and back to home base

Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Don, our guide, was full of fascinating facts on the area, wildlife and history of the Everglades. We are a family if 5 with 3 teenagers, all of us captivated. We learnt so much. We saw osprey, bald eagles, so many shells and had a wonderful boat ride with dolphins surfing behind us. I’ll never look at a shell the same again. Highly recommended. Thanks Don, hope to see you on TV at the premier later in the year!

We had a great time, and we saw thousands of birds, a dozen dolphins jumping near our boat (being close to them doesn't disturb them), and lots of other wildlife. Our hilarious guide Don answered questions about everything we asked him with passion

My husband and I were fortunate to be the only two signed up for the morning tour, so we got our fabulous tour guide, Don, all to ourselves! Everything we knew about the Everglades we learned from watching TV, so we were expecting to spend most of our time in kayaks, surrounded by sawgrass, deep the swamp. Our experience couldn't have been less what we'd envisioned, yet completely wonderful in the most unexpected way! The Everglades in this area are salt water, so primarily mangroves, and we spent the first portion of our trip enjoying a leisurely boat ride and seeing a variety of birds and wildlife. We then reached an island where we walked the beach looking at shells, tiny crabs and a variety of other sea life. We even rescued two horseshoe crabs that had gotten themselves flipped upside down on their backs. What a wonderful feeling to watch them swim away and live to 'crab' another day! The kayaking portion of the trip was short, from one beach to another, which was fabulous because we both hate paddling. One we arrived, we saw the largest shells we'd ever seen, and found chards of pottery from the Indian tribe that used to live there. Don was a wonderful fountain of information on both the sea life, as well as the history of the area, and we were fascinated by all he shared. In sum, book this tour...you'll enjoy every minute!
