Excursion écologique en canoë-kayak et à pied dans les Everglades en petit groupe

Aperçu
We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour!
Park at our shop, a local historic building.
With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide, you will take a short golf cart ride to your boat.
On the boat, while searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna.
Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have.
After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then the golf cart and back to home base

Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Our group of 4 had a picture perfect day and it was certainly an experience to remember! Our captain and guide, Dan, was terrific. He provided a lot of opportunities to enjoy the dolphins, the various birds and fish, the flora and information about the ecology during our trip. Especially interesting was the information about the work being done by Florida to preserve the Everglades. We loved seeing the various shells on the island we visited (and Dan knew the names of all of them) and we REALLY enjoyed the kayaking experience, despite two of us being complete novices. Dan was a great teacher and encourager and made it a fun and non-scary experience. We hope to do this again.

We were a group of 5 adults seeking a quiet, calm, eco-friendly kayaking tour of the everglades. This experience did not disappoint. We were led by Chris, an extremely knowledgeable guide who educated on the fauna and flora of the mangroves we were navigating. Friendly and passionate about nature, Chris lead the group pointing out the alligators, birds and the diverse plants and trees of the mangroves. We were fortunate to see a mother alligator and her younglings, small blue herons and other varieties of large birds. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who seeks a peaceful approach to the everglades' beauty.
