Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

Four of us immensely enjoyed our kayaking tour around the estuary, through mangrove tunnels and to Shell Island. Kayaks were quality and our guides awesome, and knowledgeable. Two of us did this trip last year, and liked it so much we brought our spouses this time. We used single kayaks. One of the best things to do around St. Pete Beach. Yeah Brian, Doug and Ross!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! We found the pace to be just right. You can tell Brian and Doug enjoy what they do and care deeply about maintaining the environment. Paddling through the mangroves was a wonderful experience. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or better guides. We hope to be back soon with the rest of the family! A+ for customer service

We spent 3 wonderful hours kayaking in and around the Shell Key Preserve with 2 guides and 6 other travelers. The pace was perfect, guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the preserve is spectacular. We have kayaked in Alaska and Costa Rica and we highly recommend Coastal Kayak Tours!
