Gayle, our driver and tour guide made this trip fun and educational. Being part of a small group left plenty of time for everyone to get answers to their questions. Gayle was very knowledgeable about the area and island as well as an obvious love of the island and the people there. This was a wonderful tour!

Gayle our tour guide made our trip! She was our driver, photographer, tour guide and perfect host. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hana Ultimate Tour. It was a once in a lifetime experience thanks to Gayle.

We had a wonderful day with Tony! He picked us up at 6:45am on the button as agreed upon. We were two couples and we picked up one other couple at their specific time. We had a lovely breakfast in the town of Paia together with Tony. We were VERY glad to have Tony doing all the driving with the very winding roads. The van was very comfortable, but I do have some back problems so I did bring a pillow specifically for lower lumbar support. The drive itself is not really very scenic because so much of the view is blocked by growth along the road. We made a couple of bathroom break stops but no particularly stunning views at any of those stops. Tony was full of very interesting stats and information and he did a great job answering our numerous questions. Tony made the trip worthwhile. Because the scenery is blocked so much by the roadside tree-growth there is not a lot to see as you are driving. Because we stop for breakfast and lunch, those two stops take a good chunk out of the day. But, we still enjoyed those stops. The lunch was at Travasa Resort in Hana which is absolutely lovely. It is unfortunate that the main stops (like Black Sand Beach) is at high noon which doesn't make for very good photography. Because many of the more beautiful sights require hiking of 30minutes to 2 hours, we really didn't have time to hike into the main sights along the Road to Hana. So, the drive itself with just a few stops that are close to the main road is not really that scenic. This has nothing to do with Tony -- he was very accommodating whenever possible. Whenever we travel we love doing at least one guided tour because the guides are so great, and Tony was no exception. We got back to our condo in Kihei at 6:00pm as expected. Would I recommend this tour to others? Depends on what you are expecting -- in my books, I'm not sure the scenery is worth the high cost.
