You enter the water and, after a short surface swim, descend on a condemned pier that has transformed into a vibrant reef. Schools of fish surround the wreckage that has accumulated colorful corals and sponges.

Turtles swim all around in organized chaos as you search for camouflaged frogfish, making it hard to decide where to look. You follow your instructor as they lead you through the obstacle course of the wreck, swimming under and through the old dock where you spot a pregnant reef shark resting under a section of cement and pause to admire her beauty. As you make your way back to your starting point you focus on the multitude of turtles that gracefully soar through the clear water.

Abbi was fantastic! Really fun and clearly loved her job! Beyond all the turtles and sharks, we saw a couple eels, a frogfish, and other cute critters. 10/10 definitely recommend booking this activity!

Our shore dive experience with Dive Maui was fantastic. This was our first dive outside of our certification, and we were a bit nervous, but our guide Maiah was amazing! She read our notes, and was very attentive to our nervous excitement. She was very thorough with our pre-dive prep and she made sure to point out all the sea life while on the dive. She was very knowledgeable about the environment and made my wife and I feel very comfortable. We had an unforgettable experience swimming with sea turtles!

This dive was simply amazing in terms of all the marine life and coral. We saw too many fish to name, moray eels, reef sharks and dozens of turtles. Our guide, Chelsea is an expert and knew exactly where to look to find rare marine life. We did a two tank dive and Chelsea guided us both times. We had a couple of cameras and she brought a light and got us positioned to take great photos. Because this site is right off the shore and very close to the shop, it’s an amazing site for people that are new to diving, but it’s got so much to see that even if you made hundreds of dives you would be excited to go here. It was great to dive with the crew at Dive Maui and we look forward to diving with them again next time we are in Maui.
