Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
Not recommended for the severely obese or persons with limited mobility. We snorkel from a rocky beach so entries and exits are difficult at best.
Anyone with a history of past or present heart conditions, respiratory disorders or history of seizures or fainting will not be permitted to snorkel. No refunds will be given the day of the tour for a medical disqualification.
Participants must weigh between 80 and 260 pounds for proper wetsuit fit.
Suggested maximum age is 70 due to the strenuous nature of snorkeling in Alaska

We had a great time. We saw many really cool sea animals and plants and were able to learn about and hold them with the guides' help. The water was not that cold (mid-July), and the wetsuits are super thick and warm. Only our fingers got cold by the end. Guides were great, well-prepared, and very nice.

I was afraid that I wasn't going to enjoy this very much since I don't like diving in cold water but everyone said I really needed to do this. Went with my family and friends and actually had a really good time. The thick wetsuits really mitigated the coldness of the water and made it refreshing rather than freezing. Unfortunately, it was quite a cloudy day so it was hard to see a lot while swimming but the team brought up various things that we could look at above water so that was great. The hot showers at the end were really nice but they are out in the open so once you turn them off, you get really cold! The shop is also quite small with no privacy for changing (except between men and women) and there is only one bathroom so, if you are going to do this, I recommend already being in your bathing suit when you get there.

Thanks for joining us despite your apprehensions! Good recommendation to wear your swimsuit if you are modest like most Americans! ha ha... We actually have two bathrooms, one for the ladies and one for the men. Fred D.

Fred, Kurt, and Josh were all excellent on this excursion; they were each knowledgeable, safe, and patient - all things you would want in a foreign area doing something you don't usually experience. The wetsuits were awesome at regulating our body temperature and keeping us warm while in the cool water. We saw jellyfish, starfish, sea cucumbers, sea urchin, an eel, and some whales from just 100yds away.
