Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness
Not recommended for the severely obese or persons with limited mobility. We snorkel from a rocky beach so entries and exits are difficult at best.
Anyone with a history of past or present heart conditions, respiratory disorders or history of seizures or fainting will not be permitted to snorkel. No refunds will be given the day of the tour for a medical disqualification.
Participants must weigh between 80 and 260 pounds for proper wetsuit fit.

Fred and his team are top notch. Very focused on making sure you have a great time in this once-in-a-lifetime activity. We always snorkel when cruising the Caribbean so we thought we’d try this independent tour while on an Alaskan cruise. We were very glad we did! Fred made sure we had a great time and we were able to get back to town in time for the 4th of July parade. We felt safe, surprisingly comfortable in the wetsuits and agree with the dozens of others who gave them 5 stars. The warm water at the end of the excursion was a perfect finish to an awesome day. Highly recommended!

Just got back from an Alaskan cruise. The highlight of our trip was our excursion in Ketchikan with Snorkel Alaska. We were fortunate to watch a humpback breach and feed right in front of us! We watched sea lions zoom and play around us. We were able to pick up and hold lots of sea life (guide permitted) It’s something not offered through the cruise line but don’t be discouraged booking directly with them it could not have been easier. Fred and Kurt were amazing hosts and guides and honestly treated me like a princess helping with putting on all our gear. So much gear that by the time I was done I couldn’t wait to get into that 55 degree water. My husband and I weren’t cold once during the hour tour, in fact my husband took off his gloves and hood to help cool him off. It’s very reasonably priced and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Highly, highly, recommend this tour. The reviews online were very effusive, and after taking the tour I can confirm the hype is real. We went on the last tour of the season and had an amazing time. Firstly, the water is really not that cold once you get into the gear provided. The guides are clearly very experienced and it shows in how every step of the tour is efficient and thoughtful. Especially if you’re coming in on a cruise, seeing the underwater landscape is really cool as it helps you imagine what’s under the surface as you cruise along. I would recommend taking the free diving option and attempting it if you’re comfortable- you can see a lot more if you dive down, since the visibility has some limits. I would also say it’s very important to listen to your guides and read the instructions- bring everything they tell you to bring!!! In addition, I brought a plastic bag for my wet swimsuit and some moisturizer for my face and found it made the return trip much more comfortable. Overall, a unique and fun activity!
