Explore San Diego's hidden gem of snorkeling! Everyone who visits San Diego knows about La Jolla, but did you know there's an even better snorkeling spot? Avoid the big waves and crowds with this more relaxed snorkel experience geared for all skill levels.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our snorkel.

Groups are small (maximum of 5 participants, with occasional exceptions for private groups/families) which makes a more intimate and personal experience.

I could not recommend this experience more. Our group had varying levels of comfort with the water — I hadn't snorkeled before and was somewhat hesitant — and Matt managed to cater to all of us and ensure that we each had a great time. Matt is very patient, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He was able to find a time that fit our schedule, and the pace of the lesson was just right. We saw a lot of ocean life and learned a lot! The photo album that Matt created for us was also great. All in all, this experience was a highlight of our trip, and I would definitely come back again and try another one of Matt's tours. If you're on the fence about snorkeling, I cannot recommend a better guide than Matt. If you're already experienced, you will benefit even more from his knowledge of the ocean. Do it!
