South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Sentier Kaibab Sud

Never having been to the GC, nor done much hiking, wanted to ensure it was guided trip. Wildland Trekking was the only group i could find doing group tours (as a solo, didnt want a private tour). Our tour guide Shayne was great; his 20 years of experience truly showed. He was very knowledgable about the area, where to go, and was conscientious of everyones ability. He also set expectations so we always knew what was going on as we hiked down and up the trail. We had a lovely lunch spread and ample snacks (which the Shayne carrried!!) Highly recommend for solo or first time in the Canyon.

The guided tour was a great way to experience a Grand Canyon hike. We went down with a guide who knew the various Park Rangers along the way. He talked about the geology and history of the Grand Canyon. The lunch was fabulous and well deserved. My son and I are considering training for a four day rim-to-rim hike after the one day hike on this tour. Moshe was an excellent guide!

Highly recommend this company. We had Shayne as our guide; a wonderful man. Beyond the stunning vista that I don’t believe is possible to surpass or even properly describe, was hiking with Shayne. His tempo and vibe was incredibly thoughtful, it allowed us just to relax into what we were doing, even when our heart rates skyrocketed. He informed us about the geology, flora and fauna as we walked and makes bloody excellent sandwiches.
