What To Expect

South Kaibab Trail

The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Dean was a fantastic guide; we would not have had the same experience without Wildland Trekking. Spouse and I (both 54) had a great day. Dean has hiked around the world and had a good understanding of the history of Grand Canyon - topographically and otherwise. He kept us on pace, packed a fantastic lunch, and was great company. Good all around. Highly recommend.

Just back from the Grand Canyon and used Wildland for our family (2 adults, a 14 year old, 11 year old and 7 year old) hikes and had an amazing time. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of information while guiding us through both South Kaibab and Bright Angle Hikes. The weather was an issue the day our first hike was supposed to be planned and the company was great about rescheduling to avoid the rain and snow. Can't recommend Wildland highly enough!
