There was too much confusion and lack of communication. Not able to download the app in order to interact with everything and things were too cramped together. Also felt like it was a bit much that only did we already pay over $100 for entry the. It was an extra charge for anything extra within the experience

We had the City Pass ticket and got there right at opening. Got right in (and this is the perfect time to go!). The problem with the City Pass ticket is there is no way to schedule the Mission Control tour. It was sold out for the day with pre-purchase tickets. That’s an unfortunate part of the process, but the place is amazing! We didn’t need to worry about getting on the “Red Tram” rocket park tour as the “Blue Tour” makes stop there too. The Saturn V rocket park is very interesting and cool. The astronaut training facility is also cool, like getting a sneak peak of space exploration and it looks like a maker-space paradise! Plan on a full day there and plan to get food there too. There is a lot and we didn’t plan accordingly. Great experience! Just get there early to avoid large crowds.

We visited on a Sunday during spring break week with two young boys (7,4). My oldest is very much into space so even though knowing the 4 yo wouldn’t enjoy it as much we went anyway. We purchased tickets for 9:30 am and the venue wasn’t too crowded. Make sure to download their app in advance and remember once you are walking up to scan tickets to join the virtual team waitlist for the trams. We toured the red tram shortly after arrival and went to see the the Rocket Park with Saturn V rocket. It was really neat to see and very informative. It is self paced and doesn’t take long to visit. We had a scheduled Mission Control tram tour at 11:20. It was very informative and eye opening to see the restored Mission Control room as it was back in the 1960s. Note: if you forget to use the restroom before the Mission Control tram there are restrooms in the Mission Control building. It’s very large venue overall so pace yourself and visit Independence Plaza and SpaceX exhibit early as we waited too late in the day and the crowds were large. We didn’t make it to as much as hoped as it’s a lot to take in for a tired 4 yo. We ate food onsite and it was decent for your only option. Potato salad had.l no flavor and burger was blah. The Spacetrader gift shop was very large with lots of souvenirs for all ages. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting if you’re coming to the area. It’s best to visit with 7+ yo kids as it’s a lot of stimulation and walking.
