On a road trip from Miami to Tucson, had a 1 night stop at Houston. Traveling with teens I want to show them the space center. I was very excited to see it but not much to do. First, purchase your ticket online through TripAdvisor, it’s ~$5 cheaper. They tell you parking is $5 however the parking was free. Second note, plan your tram tour at guest services before doing anything else, it fills up quick. They’ll give you a return time so in the mean time walk around. (We didn’t get to experience the tram due to not knowing this so we ran out of time.) Third, my teens did the virtual reality which is $10 each. They didn’t enjoy it especially since they have the oculus which is 100% better. The other ride called Morphis was $8 but reminded me of the old rides at the mall. For the price it wasn’t worth it however it is the space center which has history so if it was cheaper it would hav me been more enjoyable. I wouldn’t say not to go just plan better ahead of time.
