UNORGANIZED- CAUTION!! So, you buy a timed ticket, but this is NOT the time for you to board the (included in admission) tram tour. Once you get thru the doors, it feeds you thru some exhibits and cool interactive things and then, around the corner, you find out you need to download the app and book a time for the tram- with wait times from that point 1:45-3 hours!! Book your tram tour the minute you get in this place- Great for ages 6-14 -

Awsome place to see our space program history, present and future. I have been here a few times before spread out over many years. The place keeps changing and improving. We take our 13 yr old grandchildren on a trip of their choice just with us. This grandson has a real interest in our space program and wanted to see Nasa in Houston. Being someone who loves and follows the space program from the Mercury Program to Present this was an easy treat. We loved everything we saw and spent the entire day here. Got our tickets online. Got to center at opening and set up White Tour which includes Mission Control for the Apollo days. It does stop at the Rocket Park that has many of the early rockets and a Saturn 5 in a building. We then took the Blue tour which is to the Astronaut Training Building. The tours point out a number of buildings and what they do in them. You don't need to take the red tour if you get off at the rocket park on the white tour. After the tours we went out to the 747 which was one of 2 modified to carry the space shuttles. It has a museum quality shuttle on its back. Touring both the 747 and the shuttle was educational and done well. The many divided sections in the main museum were very cool and my Grandson had a blast. We did stop for a bite. Food was decent. This place just keeps getting better each time I have visited. The day was very special and our Grandson loved every minute. Our last stop was outside at a spacex falcon 9 first stage. Dont miss this place while in Houston

The Space Center is fascinating. Highly recommend that you go first thing, get tour/tram tickets. Start with white, hard to get and visit the rest between those.. but most importantly lunch.. Food at the space station was crazy but it may have just been a huge tourist day.. it operates by either grabbing food out of a cooler and scanning at the kiosk to purchase OR Starting at a kiosk (grab your drinks from the cooler when you get in line)to order from one of the many stations ( you can place an order at multiple food stations on one ticket).. once you order at the kiosk you will get a ticket with your order number.. they will call your number at the various food stations when it’s ready ( very efficient and quick). If you purchase a salad get in line at the salad station to customize what you want …. Let me say BEST SALAD EVER… highly recommend the salad..
